Eight years ago something happened that changed my life forever.
I was entering my junior year at the University of Charleston. At the time I was playing baseball for U.C. which was my dream and at the time the passion for my life. One summer evening I was driving home from work when I got into an auto accident. At first I felt fine but within days I was having massive headaches, I felt nauseas, I couldn’t sleep or focus and I was extremely irritable with everyone, even my own mother. Everyone was worried because they had never seen me this way.
One evening later in the summer I was waiting on a Chiropractor. He could tell something was wrong and so he asked me if he could help. I explained that I was having massive headaches and wasn’t sleeping much at all. He explained to me that my spine had been injured and damaged my nerve system, and the accident was the straw that broke the camels back. At 1st I thought how could this be. I had waked away with no broken bones or even a bruise. I knew something had changed and the longer I waited the worse my health got. I decided to make an appointment.
On the first visit the Chiropractor did a case history, chiropractic exam, and took the necessary films of my spine. The second visit he explained to me that he found multiple subluxations in my spine (spinal injuries that heal wrong damaging the nerve system) and that he could help me. He started to adjust my spine (which is a light impulse applied to the injured area of the spine). The adjustments didn’t hurt, but I started to notice how much better my whole body was functioning. My Chiropractor gave me my life and dreams back. This inspired me to do the same for others, so I went to Chiropractic college myself.
I am a graduate of Nitro High School in Nitro, W.V. After high school I attended the University of Charleston where I majored in biology and chemistry before deciding to go to Chiropractic College. I then moved to Davenport, I.A. where I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic. I graduated Summa Cum Laude, as a presidential scholar and was a member of Pi Tau Delta honor society. I have traveled to Budapest Hungary to provide care and spread the message of Chiropractic across the globe. I finished my internship in Brooklyn, M.I. where I met my fiancé Honesty. We are now looking forward to starting our own family.
Beyond serving my patients I am a certified seminar speaker for the New Renaissance. Here I teach staff training, office procedures and proper patient education for the Chiropractic profession.
